7-L Livestock Equipment Ltd. was founded by Wayne and Colleen Gardiner of Lakeland, Manitoba. Situated on the west side of Lake Manitoba in South Central Manitoba, Wayne and Colleen also operate 7-L Ranch, a cow/calf and backgrounder operation.
While trying to process newborn calves by himself, Wayne decided there had to be an easier way to restrain the calf. He invented the first calf chute for his own use but other people saw how helpful it was and wanted one for themselves. Wayne began manufacturing the calf chute in the evenings while watching the cows during calving season. The demand became so great that the manufacturing business developed and more models as well as other products were introduced. Our calf chutes have now been on the market for over 10 years.
Being a great believer in electric fencing, Wayne also invented the Power Reel, which is used the build secure temporary electric fence, up to a mile long, as well as rolling up existing high tensile wire.
All 7-L products are ranch tested extensively before being offered for sale and have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our products are invented and made by a rancher for fellow ranchers. All products can be shipped anywhere - as we currently have product in Japan and Australia.
