SIZE OPTIONS: With both truss frame and rigid frame styles available, we are equipped to handle any project big or small. Our farm buildings can include wide bays, wide spans, large doors, or even cranes and other custom needs.
FLEXIBILITY: We can design your building to suit any foundation style, including some unique options that only Prairie Steel provides. On the farm, it is hard to find time for new projects. Many of our options allow you to build year-round, allowing concrete floors, and mechanical / electrical installs to be completed on your schedule after the building is set-up. Do It Yourself, or ask us about our network of qualified installers to help you finish the job on time, and on budget.
INSULATION: We offer all insulation and finishing packages from R20 to R40, including full metal interior liners for the cleanest, brightest, and warmest interiors.

Prairie Steel offers a steel base tube along the perimeter of your
building. This unique steel building accessory offers many benefits:
• Eliminates the need for costly grade beams
• Allows building to be set directly on a compact gravel foundation
or steel or concrete piles
• Building set up can be completed, with doors installed, prior to
installing concrete slab
• Base tube becomes part of form work for concrete floor
• Ideal for building with concrete floor or cold storage
We manufacture several different profiles and gauges of steel cladding in-house, with a wide selection of colours. Our experienced sales staff will take the time to go over all aspects of your project with you to be sure you get the right materials for the job. If you are re-covering an old building or planning a new structure, our in-house expertise will add value to any project.
